Released as a standalone BX-38 booster in November 2024, Crimson Garuda came west under Hasbro as Scarlet Garuda, repackaged into a Starter Pack rather than a bare booster. The two share a mould but not a colourway.
The blade earned a reputation as a Shark Edge analogue — nominally Balance, actually a forward-smash part that ends up bolted onto attack setups. It delivers real hits when it connects but is not heavy, so it fades against denser opponents and its attack-versus-attack record is streaky rather than dominant. Its upper and lower profiles behave differently, which rewards deliberate height choices instead of default builds.
Trans Point is the novelty and the liability. Twisting the guard locks it into High or Low Mode against the ratchet, and it offers decent stamina with some aggression in both. It also self-bursts on the Xtreme rail and is vulnerable during the mode transition itself, which is why most players keep the blade and shelve the bit.
