Wyvern Gale 5-80GB was the prize slot in BX-24 Random Booster Vol. 2, released 27 December 2023. That matters more than anything else about it — as the rare pull in a blind box, it has never been easy to get at retail.
Performance is the problem. The blade is light, and against the heavier stamina and defence blades that define the format it simply gets moved. Gear Ball is the genuinely good part in the box: a wide ball tip with the Xtreme Dash gearing carried down to the base, rated by most reviewers among the top stamina bits available. The pairing is slightly self-defeating, though, because Gear Ball’s semi-mobile behaviour drifts a light blade into contact it can’t win.
Takara Tomy has kept the mold in circulation on different builds — 2-60S in UX-07 and 0-80C in UX-12 — so anyone who wants the blade itself has cheaper routes than hunting the random booster prize.
