Knight Mail never got a starter. It arrived inside UX-10, the Customize Set — a box that also carried Tyranno Roar and Hells Hammer bodies, three spare ratchets and six bits. That packaging shapes how the blade gets discussed: it rarely comes up on its own, because the set around it is the actual value proposition.
The blade succeeds Knight Lance, keeps the armoured theme, and hides three metal balls that travel vertically inside the body to soak up downward impact. Its outline is short and lumpy rather than smooth, letting it meet an incoming attacker face-first and hand some of that energy back instead of getting scooped. In the anime it belongs to Multi Nana-iro.
Stock 3-85BS runs tall for a defense build and Bound Spike is a niche bit, so the common route is dropping the blade onto a low ratchet with a needle- or ball-family bit and letting the compact shape work. Collector note: loose copies overwhelmingly come from broken-up sets.
