Knight Mail is a round, blocky Defense blade with a hexagonal set of six main contact points that alternate between horizontal and vertical faces, three of them raised to turn away hits from above. Inside it carries three iron balls that can move up and down, meant to work as a mass damper that absorbs vertical impacts and keeps the bey seated. It weighs about 36.6 grams, heavy for a Defense blade, and the Metal Coat release adds roughly another gram.
Reviewers rate it among the better Defense blades but not a competitive staple. Its weight helps, but its recoil is unpredictable and its stamina is low, and testers report it is hard to see any real effect from the moving balls. It has seen niche use, including at the World Championship, but it struggles against top attackers such as Shark Scale and Aero Pegasus. Some Korean players actually run it in attack-leaning builds, since the raised contact points give it a decent upper-attack angle.
Its stock 3-85 Bound Spike combo is a reasonable defensive base, with 1-85 suggested for maximum resistance and 1-60 for a more balanced, lower setup. Players who want a stronger anti-attack or stamina-defense option usually move to Wizard Rod or Scorpio Spear rather than staying on a pure Defense blade.
