BX-34 landed on 13 July 2024 and did something no Beyblade X release had done before: Cobalt Dragoon spins left. It shipped as a Starter with a dedicated String Launcher L, and Hasbro’s Western version bundled the left-spin string launcher in a Deluxe set. The name is a deliberate callback to Dragoon from Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, and the chip carries a Seiryu blue-dragon profile.
Opposite spin is the entire competitive argument. Because right-spin stamina builds bleed spin badly against a left-spinner, Cobalt Dragoon has seen real tournament use as a targeted counter to Wizard Rod and Silver Wolf combos, most often mounted on Elevate rather than its stock bit. Cyclone itself is well regarded — burst-resistant and quick to build speed. The 2-60 ratchet is the dead weight of the package and gets swapped out immediately.
