Cobalt Dragoon is a four-sided left-spin attack blade and the first left-spin blade in Beyblade X. Its four contact points slope upward for upper attack, and each has a small and a large section that can knock opponents off balance. Some of the points are hollowed, which leaves the blade slightly unbalanced. It weighs about 38 grams. On its own merits that shape gives poor stamina and stability, and it has trouble staying upright late in a battle.
It is a competitive staple, and nearly all of its value comes from spin direction. Against right-spin opponents, contact causes spin-steal and cuts the recoil of the hits it takes. That lets it outlast blades it could never knock out, and the main build is designed for this. Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate was used heavily in official B4 events and is cited as a counter to Wizard Rod, Silver Wolf, Phoenix Wing and Aero Pegasus. It still places in BeyMeta’s A tier on recent WBO results. The stock 2-60C is a different story: it carries high burst risk and needs a winder launcher to attack meaningfully.
Run it on 5-60 with Elevate, which replaced the earlier Glide builds because it is more stable and has better life-after-death. 1-60 and 7-60 are alternatives. Level makes a more aggressive but less reliable version. The usual counters are Elevate on a right-spin blade, or attackers on Level or Wall Ball that keep it at a distance.
