Wolf Hunt is CX’s successor to Silver Wolf 3-80FB and inherits its logic: don’t meet the hit, let it slip. That job belongs to the Free Assist Blade, which rotates independently of the rest of the stack, so an incoming strike bleeds energy into that free spin instead of transferring cleanly into the blade body.
Disk Ball backs the plan from underneath. Successor to the original Ball, it presents a wider contact patch to the stadium floor and is stubborn about being knocked off axis — a genuine stamina bit, not a defensive compromise. The 0-60 ratchet keeps everything low and out of the way.
The tradeoff is familiar: free-spinning mechanisms cost weight and soften the blade’s own outer profile, which is why this booster lands closer to a balance-leaning interpretation of stamina than to a pure grinder. Novel and worth owning as a piece of CX engineering, but not demonstrably an upgrade over the established stamina options — and too recent for that question to have an answer.
