Shinobi Shadow 1-80MN was the prize slot in the UX-05 Random Booster Select, released May 2024 alongside the 9-60LF and 3-70GP variants of the same blade. A single blind booster gives you a one-in-three shot at the version people actually wanted.
The blade itself is a defense design built around three smooth, rounded contact points that deflect incoming hits rather than trading with them. It is a parrying shape, not a bracing one, and its instinct is to let an attacker skate off rather than absorb the blow head-on.
Its biggest practical problem is the bit it shipped with. Metal Needle’s conical metal tip chews into Xtreme Stadium floors and has been banned in WBO play, with reinstatement left to individual organisers — check current rulings before bringing it anywhere organised. Western bladers got an easier route in eventually, since Hasbro reissued the same combination as a Shadow Shinobi starter.
