Samurai Calibur 6-70M is a late arrival — a booster released 9 August 2025, positioned as the follow-up to Samurai Saber 2-70L. Four-sided and squared off, with a kabuto-helmeted samurai on the chip, it is one of the more restrained designs in a line that mostly goes for dragons and beasts.
What makes it worth a look is Merge: a flat rubber tip with a plastic sharp poking through the middle. Depending on launch, it either scrapes aggressively on the rubber or settles onto the sharp and holds position, which effectively gives one bit two modes and puts the choice in the launcher’s hands. In practice it’s a novelty with real drawbacks — reviewers have been blunt that Merge has too many holes for serious tournament play, and the 6-70 ratchet’s height is more experiment than upgrade.
Best results come against pure stamina builds, where a little aggression is enough to unsettle them without exposing the blade to a real attacker. Nothing in the box is a staple part.
