Whale Wave Blade

Whale Wave is a tall, five-sided Balance blade built around five thick smash wings. Each wing slopes downward and is split into an upper and lower section, so the blade presents ten contact surfaces in all. Takara Tomy describes the idea as a barrage of overhead hits, and it is backed by real mass: about 38.2 g, which puts it among the heavier Basic Line blades. The height that makes those overhead hits possible also lifts the wings clear of the ratchet, leaving it exposed.

The weight and wing count make it a hard hitter. Recoil is the problem: those ten surfaces bounce it off opponents unpredictably, so it wins and loses a lot of rounds by accident, and its stamina is poor to average. Fan wiki testing calls it a risky competitive option and not a must-have. It does not appear on BeyMeta’s current blade tier list, so it is a casual and collection piece rather than a tournament part.

The stock 5-80 Elevate lifts its tip during an Xtreme Dash to aim hits downward. Its other releases pair it with 4-70 High Needle, 3-80 Gear Ball and 7-60 Kick, but no source shows a tested combo that fixes the recoil. Players who want a heavy smash attacker for competition move to the established Attack blades instead.
