Phoenix Rudder Blade

Phoenix Rudder borrows the three-sided layout of Phoenix Wing but turns it toward stamina. Its outline is circular overall, with six main contact points grouped into three sections, each pairing a short blade angled up with a longer one angled down. The rim is stepped: metal primary contact points sit on the wider upper tier, and nine plastic secondary points sit on the narrower lower tier. Those plastic points are meant to unsettle opponents and to soften incoming hits, and the blade weighs roughly 34.5 grams.

It is not a competitive blade. Reviews describe it as heavily outclassed, and the core problem is weight: at around 34 to 35 grams it does not have the mass a stamina blade needs to hold its spin against the heavier options in the format. The destabilizing plastic tier is a real feature, but how well it works depends heavily on matching heights with the opponent, which makes results inconsistent. It is best treated as a casual and collection piece.

Its stock 9-70 Glide setup is a reasonable starting point, and the main tuning advice is to experiment with ratchet and bit heights so the plastic protrusions actually make contact with the other bey. Players who want a stamina blade that holds up in tournaments move to Wizard Rod, Silver Wolf or Clock Mirage.
