Leon Claw Blade

Leon Claw is a five-pointed Balance blade with a claw embossed on each point. The points mix two angles: deeper, upward-facing tips for smash and upper attack, and shallower horizontal ones closer to Hells Scythe’s profile. At about 31.3 g it is light for a blade expected to trade hits, and its five points sit at different heights, so a tilted launch often limits early contact to the upward tips.

It is widely considered one of the weaker early blades. BeyBase’s review tested it in attack, stamina and defense roles and found it short in each, with a mint copy on 5-60LF winning only a fifth of its matches against Hells Scythe and stamina results mostly losing to Wizard Arrow and Hells Scythe. Its best showing was counter-defense on Needle, and even that was not a clear win. Reference sites point to its mobility as the one real plus, since it rides the X-Line and dashes quickly, but call it a collection piece.

If it gets used, 5-60 with a stationary bit like Needle is where it performed least badly. The BX-15 set’s real value is its 5-60 ratchet and Point bit, which went on to feature in top combos on other blades such as Phoenix Wing and Knight Shield. Players wanting a balance blade generally pick Hells Scythe or Hells Chain.
