Hexa Bit (H)

Hexa is a cone, but a segmented one: the tip narrows to a point through a series of hexagonal facets rather than a single smooth taper, and unlike most bits it carries sixteen gears around its rim instead of the usual twelve. The extra gear count buys a quicker, harder Xtreme Dash when the bit does catch the X-Line, and the faceted cone gives it strong burst resistance because the point holds the combo upright under impact instead of letting it lean and unwind. Movement sits between a stationary defensive bit and a mover — it holds near the centre but rocks and tilts when struck.

Its competitive standing has always been conditional. Hexa surfaces in the meta when attack combos are burst-heavy enough that players need more burst resistance than Ball offers, and it recedes again when the field softens. It has since lost ground to Level, which does more with a wider contact profile.

Hexa pairs with defensive and balance blades on mid-height ratchets, where the burst resistance is worth the stamina it gives up to those sixteen gears. Players who want the stamina back go to Ball; players who want the movement go to Level.
