Hells Scythe Blade

Hells Scythe is a round, four-sided Balance blade built from four downward-sloping wings, each with a small gap cut in at its base. Those gaps push weight outward, which is where its spin time comes from, and the slope of each wing turns contact into smash rather than upper attack. The same gaps are also why it hits back hard when struck: the open edges catch opposing blades and throw both tops apart.

It was the stamina reference point of the launch era. BeyBase’s early combo guides rank it as the strongest stamina blade among the first releases and note it was a mainstay in Japanese events when Beyblade X launched, and the Fandom wiki credits it with frequent top placements in stamina builds. The tradeoff is recoil. High recoil makes it unpredictable and leaves it with weak knockout defense against committed attackers, though worn contact points reportedly soften that over time.

The standard build is a round stamina bit, Ball in particular, under a low-to-mid ratchet such as 3-60, 4-60 or 4-80, which keeps it semi-mobile while it outlasts the opponent. It also shows up in balance builds when a matchup rewards some attack. Players who want the same role with less recoil look at Wizard Arrow or Hells Chain, while later releases eventually pushed it out of the top stamina slot.
