UX-17 landed at the very end of 2025 and is one of the few left-spin releases in Beyblade X, which is most of the point. Left rotation changes the matchup math entirely: against the overwhelmingly right-spin field, contact transfers spin instead of bleeding it, so Meteor Dragoon can absorb rotation from an opponent while still hitting hard. Very little else in the format does that.
The blade is built around a large rubber attack surface for smash contact, with the 3-70 ratchet giving height and the Jolt bit driving fast, erratic movement. It is Khrome Ryugu’s bey in the story material, continuing the Dragoon name from earlier generations — a lineage callback that carries weight with older collectors independent of how it performs.
The practical catch is parts availability. Left-spin bits, ratchets and launchers are scarce, so the starter’s contents are worth more than the blade alone suggests, and building around Meteor Dragoon means sourcing the rest of the left-spin ecosystem. Documentation is still thin given how recent the release is.
