Weiss Tiger landed as a plain BX-33 booster on 15 June 2024, notable mainly for debuting the Unite bit. Unite was advertised with a central protrusion inside a ball tip that would let it shift behaviour mid-battle; in practice the protrusion sits too shallow to reach the stadium floor, so it performs much like Taper with a broader ball, aggressive early and semi-mobile later.
The blade itself is undermined by mass. It is light for its class and, worse, the outer sections are thin, so the weight it does have sits where it helps least. Against the heavier optimised builds that dominated mid-2024 that is a losing trade regardless of how the contact points are shaped.
Those contact points are the redeeming feature: Weiss Tiger chains upper attacks into smash attacks in fast succession, which is a real and distinctive pattern rather than a marketing line. It never translated into standings. The community verdict settled on average — nothing it does badly, nothing it does better than an existing option, and worth picking up for the Unite bit and the collection rather than for the blade.
