Hells Chain didn’t get a solo release — it came in the BX-21 Hells Chain Deck Set on 2 November 2023, packaged alongside Knight Lance 3-60LF and Wizard Arrow 4-80N as a ready-made three-bey deck. Hasbro split it differently, pairing it with Arrow Wizard as Chain Incendio 5-60HT in a dual pack.
The blade is the draw. It’s round, it’s heavy — among the heaviest non-attack blades released — and that combination made it a durable staple for defence and stamina builds long after the deck set stopped being the point. Think of it as the endurance-leaning relative of Hells Scythe 4-60T rather than a straight replacement.
Almost nobody runs it on High Taper. The standard treatment is to strip the blade and drop it onto Ball or Orb for a defensive grinder, or Needle when the plan is to sit still and outlast. That makes BX-21 a parts purchase for established players; new bladers opening it will not find a strong out-of-box combo.
