Meteor Dragoon is the left-spin Unique Line attacker from UX-17, and it is built lopsided on purpose. Instead of four matching contact points it has three uneven ones, and the biggest of them is a rubber jaw set into the frame. At a little over 39 grams it is heavier than Cobalt Dragoon, and the rubber is there to grab an opponent on contact and turn that friction into one large hit, either a burst or a knockout, rather than a string of small ones.
Tournament data puts it in the upper tier but below the very top, and it is at its best in fields full of right-spin blades, where opposite-spin contact works in its favour. The shape that makes it hit hard also makes it fragile. Copies need balance tuning, an untuned one falls over easily, and the stock rubber is stiff enough that a new blade rarely steals spin until it has been worn in. Wear cuts the other way too: the rubber degrades faster than any other part, and judges at higher-level events can reject a blade whose rubber has changed shape, so serious players keep spares.
Most competitive builds put it on Level, with 7-60 and 7-70 the usual heights; 9-60 on Elevate is the spin-steal option and has posted the best first-place rate. The stock 3-70 and Jolt are serviceable but not what players settle on. Anyone who wants left spin with less upkeep tends to stay on Cobalt Dragoon, which usually wins the head-to-head against an untuned Meteor Dragoon.
