Black Shell is a small, diamond-shaped Defense blade with eight primary contact points around its edge. It references Draciel from the original Bakuten Shoot series, and its gear chip carries that series’ logo. At about 32.4 g it is one of the lighter Basic Line blades, and its compact outline leaves little material shielding the ratchet.
On paper it is a Defense blade, but it does not have the mass for the job. The light frame gives it poor knockout resistance and only poor-to-average stamina, and the exposed ratchet raises its burst risk a little. Recoil from the eight points is inconsistent, though in casual play that many points can occasionally burst an opponent. Fan wiki testing calls it heavily outclassed for competition. BeyMeta’s tier list shows only a trace of WBO podium use, in the C tier, which matches a blade that turns up now and then without being anyone’s main plan.
The stock 4-60 Dot keeps it low and planted. Its other releases are 9-80 Ball and 7-70 Wedge Ball. The wiki suggests it may do more as part of an Attack or Balance setup that builds up burst resistance, using its many contact points for burst attempts rather than for holding the center. Players who need a real Defense blade usually move to heavier options.
