Phoenix Wing is a three-sided right-spin attack blade. Its three main blades slope upward, which gives it upper attack. Each one starts at a launcher hook that sticks out past the rim, and two smaller bumps on each section add extra contact points. The original mold averages about 38 grams and the reinforced mold introduced in late 2024 about 39, making it one of the heaviest blades of its time. When the larger hooks line up with the big teeth on the 9-60 ratchet, they form tall smash points. The painted Metal Coat finish on those points wears off quickly.
This is a staple blade. At launch its weight and upper-attack slope let it knock opponents into the Xtreme Zone reliably, and it beat Hells Scythe, Dran Sword and Shark Edge. Phoenix Wing on 1-60 or 9-60 with Rush was a common sight in WBO and B4 events. Later attackers like Aero Pegasus and Shark Scale took the top attack slots, but Phoenix Wing still places in BeyMeta’s A tier on recent WBO results. Its weakness is the usual one for an attacker: the stock Gear Flat is aggressive enough to knock itself out.
Pair it with 9-60, with the hooks lined up to the ratchet, or with 1-60, the tournament favourite. Rush and Point are the mobile choices, Taper keeps it attacking with better stamina, and Ball is the safe semi-mobile pick. Needle or Orb turns it into a heavy stationary build. Players chasing more raw attack move to Aero Pegasus or Shark Scale.
