Dran Dagger is a round right-spin attack blade with six small blades spaced evenly around its edge. A fire-breathing dragon head sits on the Gear Chip. At roughly 35 grams it is about as heavy as Dran Sword, and a little heavier. The two blades work differently, though. Sword lands a few big hits, while Dagger’s six points land many small ones in a short burst. Each strike pushes the opponent less, but contact comes more often. The blades also tend to catch the other bey’s ratchet when the top is tilted.
It is a solid stock-tier attacker rather than a tournament piece. Against a top recoil blade like Hells Scythe it usually loses, and a smooth defense blade such as Knight Shield soaks up its rapid hits. Dagger does score points steadily against casual and non-meta builds, and it bursts most of them. What you trade is first-hit power for control: its opening strikes are softer than Dran Sword’s or Shark Edge’s, but it is easier to steer and does not appear to wear down as fast.
Dagger is happiest in mobile setups on low ratchets like 4-60 or 3-60 with Rush, Flat or Low Flat. Taper keeps it attacking with a bit more stamina, and Ball makes a workable semi-mobile build that burst-finishes more often. Stationary bits leave it easy for high-recoil blades to burst. Players who want real knockout power move up to Dran Sword, Shark Edge or Phoenix Wing.
