Viper Tail Blade

Viper Tail is a hexagonal blade with six contact points in two styles: three longer, smoother sections that give softer hits and three shorter, more aggressive ones. Unlike most early blades, its contact points rise and face upward, giving it an umbrella-like profile. That shape lets it deflect or smash down on taller opponents, but it also leaves the frame beneath exposed, so lower blades can get under it and lift it.

It is sold as a Stamina type, but players have not treated it as one. Its spin time is average at best, it is not as strong as Dran Sword or Shark Edge for straight attack, and results swing a lot from battle to battle. Where it does show up is counter play: it can turn a high-recoil blade like Hells Scythe’s own bounce back on it, while low-recoil stamina blades such as Wizard Arrow tend to outspin it. Reference sites call it a collection piece rather than a competitive necessity.

Because its role depends heavily on height, ratchet and bit choice decide what it does. Japanese player write-ups have tried it on 5-60LF for short-battle attack, 3-60T for smash and deflection, and 3-60B as a lower-stamina alternative to Hells Scythe on Ball. Players who want a reliable stamina blade go back to Hells Scythe, and attack players use Dran Sword or Shark Edge.
