Perseus Dark is the CX-03 defense booster, combining the Perseus lock chip, the Dark main blade and the Bumper assist blade. Dark weighs about 30 grams and has wave-shaped blades that spread an incoming hit across the rim rather than catching it on one hard edge. Bumper is a thick assist that adds bulk at the rim. The stock combo puts both on a tall 6-80 ratchet with the Wedge bit, which was first released in this booster.
In tournament play it is a rarity. It has few recorded top cuts, so any rating is provisional, and its finishes come almost entirely from small local events. The design pays for its defense with slow wins: it has little knockout threat of its own, a committed attacker can rush it down, and dedicated stamina blades outlast it. That leaves it as a niche anti-attack tool, not a general pick.
The suggested setup puts Charge underneath, with Kick or a needle-style bit on a low 5-60 or 6-60, launched flat. Bumper is the stock choice for more rim weight, and Slash and Heavy also appear in its results. Since the main blade works with any lock chip, a heavier metal chip such as Emperor is the common way to add weight. Most defense players use other CX main blades or Basic and Unique line defenders instead.
