Leon Crest is a round Defense blade with seven primary contact points on its metal layer and a plastic frame below that carries secondary points lined up directly beneath them. The plastic frame is there to take the edge off recoil, and the resin launcher hooks shared across the Unique Line push weight toward the rim. The weakness is in the stacking: the metal sits on top, so a solid hit to the primary contact points can tip the blade rather than bounce off it. It weighs roughly 35 grams.
Competitively it has been passed over. Reviewers call it heavily outclassed, mainly because a defense blade at around 35 grams is easier to knock out than the heavier alternatives, and the top-mounted metal makes it easier to destabilize than its round shape suggests. It works for casual play and fills out a Defense collection, but it is not a blade people build tournament decks around.
The 7-60 ratchet it ships with is meant to complement its shape, and taller setups suit the blade better because they line its contact points up with incoming attacks, at the cost of burst resistance. Its random booster release on 9-80 Kick follows the same taller-is-better idea. Players chasing reliable defense generally move to heavier blades such as Knight Mail or Golem Rock, or step over to stamina-defense blades like Wizard Rod.
