Wolf Hunt is the CX-10 booster: the Wolf lock chip, the Hunt main blade and the Free assist blade, sold on a 0-60 ratchet with Disk Ball. Hunt is a four-sided main blade of a little over 31 grams with thick contact points. Free is one of the heavier assists at close to 6 grams. Takara Tomy labels the bey as stamina, but the blade plays more like a balance part. Spin time is average, and it hits harder than most balance options.
It sees occasional tournament use but is not a contender. Recorded use is thin, and the write-ups that exist all say the same thing: Blast does Hunt’s job better in both attack and stamina. The exposed points that give it hitting power also cause recoil in stamina matchups, so it struggles to outlast blades built for stamina. Its strongest matchups are defense and other balance combos, which it can both out-hit and outspin.
For a bruiser-balance build, keep Free or switch to Wheel, and use a stamina-leaning bit like Disk Ball or Orb. For an attack build, run Heavy underneath on a flatter bit. Results spread across 4-50, 5-60, 7-60 and 9-60 ratchets, mostly with Kick, Rush or Low Rush, and metal lock chips such as Emperor and Valkyrie show up often. In 3v3 it is an enjoyable CX flex slot. Players who want the role filled seriously use Blast.
