Shark Scale is a right-spin Unique Line attacker that came out in the UX-15 Deck Set, and it is a heavier, lower-slung follow-up to Shark Edge. It has two large contact points that sit low and slope upward, with the blade’s metal placed as low as anything in the Unique Line. That geometry lets it get underneath an opponent and lift, so a hit lands on the ratchet or tips the other bey off balance instead of simply bouncing off. The weight is not spread evenly, which gives it a slightly uneven centre of gravity.
It is the most-used blade in recorded Beyblade X tournament play and sits at the top of the community tier lists. The low weight also gives it more stamina than an attacker usually has, so it can take a spin finish when the knockout does not come. Its problems are mostly about consistency. A square hit produces heavy recoil, the uneven weight can make it scrape, and results depend heavily on the launch. Players also report that it loses long games against stamina builds such as Wizard Rod on 1-60 Hexa.
The standard build is 1-70 Low Rush. The 3-60 and 1-60 ratchets come up often, with Rush as the other common bit. For a slower counter or stamina-leaning version, 9-60 Free Ball is the established choice, launched below full power. The stock 4-50 Under Flat is rarely kept. There is no clear replacement for Shark Scale; players drop it only to play around it or to spread blades across a deck.
