Tricera Press is a pentagonal Defense blade with a bumpy outline and five semi-aggressive contact points. Its selling point is the launcher hooks: they are noticeably thicker and larger than usual, which pulls mass toward the center and brings the blade to about 36.5 g. Takara Tomy pitches that inward center of gravity as a way to soak up knockback, and in practice it puts Tricera Press near the top of the Defense blades by weight, while the bumpy perimeter gives it some ability to push attackers away.
Weight alone has not made it a competitive pick. Its recoil is hard to predict: sometimes it repels a hit cleanly, sometimes it gets knocked out early, and it rarely carries enough force to move low-recoil stamina blades such as Wizard Rod or Silver Wolf. Fan wiki testing calls it heavily outclassed, mostly for that unpredictability and its low stamina, and points to Knight Mail as the more reliable Defense blade. It does appear in WBO podium data, but only at the very bottom of BeyMeta’s tier list, so treat it as a collector’s Defense blade that wins the odd casual match.
The stock M-85 ratchet carries a metal ring for extra mass, which fits a blade built to stay put, and it ships on the Bound Spike bit. Sources give no tested combo for it, so players building Defense usually move to Knight Mail, or drop Defense entirely for a heavier stamina blade that also handles attackers well.
